Katherine Lanteigne
Former Director, Women in Business NB
Former National Advisory Committee Member (from 2020 to 2022)
Katherine Lanteigne was the Director of Women in Business New Brunswick. With an impressive background in management, economic development, entrepreneurship and community involvement, Katherine enjoyed representing and connecting others to advance women in business throughout the province.
Katherine obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in marketing, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master in Human Resource (Master 2) from Université de Poitiers in France. She put this knowledge into practice as Marketing and Communications Coordinator with the Bathurst Regional Airport. A skilled communicator and media relations’ expert, she implemented marketing and communications strategies as well as enhanced business development of this key infrastructure.
Collaboration is second nature to this dynamic and diplomatic individual. Whether in her experience with the Chaleur Chamber of Commerce or at the Airport, Katherine has always worked in direct partnership with boards of directors. In 2016, she was elected to represent Bathurst, as a City Councillor. She is responsible for making key decisions pertaining to budgets as well as short and long term strategic planning.
In 2017, along with her husband and business partner, this entrepreneur launched her passion project “Au Bootlegger," a vibrant establishment dedicated to serving the region’s largest assortment of craft beers, right in the heart of downtown Bathurst. In a short time, they have developed a loyal patronage and currently employ a dedicated staff of eight employees.
More recently in 2019, they created and opened a café of the name Kaffeine in the heart of downtown Bathurst. More than 11 jobs have resulted from this new business. The opening of this café has contributed to the revitalization of the city and the economic development of northeastern NB.
Through her employment or civic involvement, Katherine finds it gratifying to make a difference in her community. She is a co-founder of Synergies Chaleur, a not-for-profit youth organization with a purpose to regroup youth in the Chaleur region. Katherine enjoys world travel and seeking new experiences.
