Women entrepreneurs

For the purposes of our toolkit, a women entrepreneur is a woman who owns any part (%) of a business (incorporated company, partnership, sole proprietorship or cooperative). A distinction is drawn between women and men entrepreneurs in our toolkit mainly to avoid confusion when presenting or comparing data.

*In some cases, our toolkit may expand upon this definition by including self-employed women and aspiring entrepreneurs since the topics we cover sometimes apply to those groups as well.
